Anwar Hussain, Associate Partner at Salloway Property Consultants is pleased to confirm the letting of 1D Rolleston Road, Burton upon Trent to The Greenhouse Café.
Formerly the long-established retail premises of Bubbles Brew, the home wine and beer making centre of Ritchie Products, this new 5 year lease sees the property becoming the home of a family based venture by mother and daughter duo, Kay Lewis and Jessie Rai.
Kay Lewis explained, "hospitality is in my blood, having previously run the New Inn and The Fish and Chip Shop in Tutbury, I have missed the social interaction with the general public and cannot wait to open. Our plans have been put slightly on hold because of lockdown; however, it has given us the opportunity to refurbish the premises exactly how we would like in advance of our launch, which we hope to be by the end of June. We shall offer breakfast and light lunches, hot and cold beverages and expand our menu as the business grows. Our opening hours will be 7am to 2pm, Mondays to Saturdays".
Kay added, "what makes this project all the more special for me is that it is a family run venture and I look forward to working with my daughter on a daily basis. I have 3 more daughters Belinda, Abbie and Priya who will all be lending a helping hand. Jessie brings a wealth of knowledge in terms of our social media presence and I hope that we shall both benefit from each other's areas of expertise".
Comprising approximately 827 sq ft, the premises are prominently situated fronting Rolleston Road, close to the junction with Horninglow Road North and at the entrance to a modern housing development constructed by William Davis Limited and has parking facilities to the rear.
Anwar Hussain of Salloway commented, "the pandemic has brought about a great deal of change, but encouragingly it seems to have brought out the very best of humanity and has reinvigorated the importance of community and we hope that the Horninglow community will enjoy frequenting The Greenhouse Café and supporting this local business. We wish Kay and her family the best with their new venture".
