Two trainee surveyors have been taken on at Salloway to commence their careers in the commercial property industry.
Joe Hanlon and Harry Beaumont are both undergraduates of the Real Estate honours degree course at Nottingham Trent University.
They will be working towards their Assessment of Professional Competence qualifications, an important step on the way to becoming fully-fledged chartered surveyors and members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Both trainees have relocated to the East Midlands and are hoping to become engrained in the local market. Joe Hanlon, originally from Dudley in the West Midlands, commented:
"I'm really pleased to have this exciting opportunity. The work that the company can offer me is extremely varied and me and I'm keen to get to grips with the practical side of the commercial property field."
Joe will be working in the Derby office and assisting in all aspects of valuation and agency work.
Harry Beaumont, from Hitchin in Hertfordshire, will be focusing on Salloway's Nottingham and M1 corridor instructions. He said:
"I'm literally learning something new every day. The first two years of my degree course have been about understanding the real estate theory. Putting that into practice is both challenging and satisfying in equal measures!"
"I've been really enjoying the commercial agency aspects of the role, it's invaluable experience for me."
Stephen Salloway, Managing Director of Salloway Property Consultants said:
"We're delighted to have Joe and Harry join the Salloway team and they are already proving to be great assets. I have no doubt that as their time with us continues their ability to contribute to the excellent service we offer our clients will grow. Their appetite to expand their knowledge of the East Midlands market shows real promise."
