Our Nottingham office is marketing a shop in Alfreton Road which is steeped in motorcyling history.
Gagg & Sons at 106 Alfreton Road was the longest running spares supplier for the motorcycle industry but brothers Alan and Arthur Gutch recently closed the shop - which was the end of an era for the family run firm.
The 2,293 sq ft unit near Canning Circus is three-storey with retail premises. The sale includes significant two-storey rear outbuildings.
Marc Ballard of Salloway said: "The unit is considered suitable for residential or student conversion. The shop is on the fringe of the city centre on the A610 - a major arterial route into the city."
The closure of this shop spells the end of an era for not only the Gaggs, but for Nottingham and the motorcycling world. However, the brothers are moving on to concentrate on the repairs side of the business.
Marc said: "It is a shop which is steeped in history, on a busy arterial route in Nottingham and it is already attracting potential buyers. The building has potential for a variety of potential uses including conversion to residential, hot food takeaway and continuation of retail sales. The extent of the property with upper floors, rear extension and separate external stores means that the eventual purchasers will get a lot for their money."
