It was a case of deja vu for Marc Ballard thought when he took a new instruction. He was asked to market 1,978 sq ft of office accommodation at Trent Lock for British Waterways - but it's not the first time that he's been involved in this property!
The self-contained office accommodation is set within an historic converted warehouse at Trent Lock in Sawley and is being marketed for lease by Salloway on behalf of British Waterways.
There is ground and first floor accommodation with a feature atrium reception area and outside there is parking for 12 vehicles.
Marc Ballard of Salloway said: "This is a really attractive office building close by the waterside and within a mile of the A50 and the M1.
"Trent Lock itself is an attractive location and home to a number of leisure and commercial users including two public houses, a tea room and a boat building business. There is an adjoining golf course."
The offices were originally uses as the local British Waterways office.
Marc said: "Coincidentally, before joining Salloway, I worked in the property department at British Waterways and one of the last jobs I was involved in was the letting of this office to the previous tenant - whose lease has now come to an end. It seems like I have come full circle with this property!"
Trent Lock is close to Sawley, Long Eaton and Castle Donington and the premises are close to the local train network at Long Eaton and the East Midlands Parkway mainline station.
"These offices are in a great waterside location, but are close to the major road networks and railway stations - a perfect combination of a business seeking an 'out of city' working environment," said Marc.
