Eagle Park continues to be one of the most successful commercial developments in Derby, following the arrival of a French aerospace company.
Dedienne which has offices all over the world, specialises in aerospace engine stands, maintenance tooling and ground support equipment for civil and defence markets.
It has already established relationships with 15 suppliers in and around Derby.
The deal to bring the company to the city was brokered by Salloway Property Consultants, Marketing Derby and building owners, Whitehouse Construction.
Dedienne has agreed to take up the lease on one unit at Eagle Park with an option to expand during 2019.
This is something of a coup for Derby because Dedienne had been looking for UK sites since early in 2018 and looked seriously at two other cities before choosing Derby
It had also looked at many other units before finding the perfect fit in Eagle Park.
The deal was another example of how we often have to play the long game in the commercial property world.
But our close work with the company and great teamwork with Marketing Derby and Whitehouse Construction helped negotiate the right deal in the right place.
I am very proud to be part of the team which attracted Dedienne to Derby, particularly at a time when Brexit is prompting angst over our relationship with European businesses.
Their move reflects well on the city but also upon Eagle Park. We are hoping we will be able to announce more arrivals there soon.
