Wasting No Time With New Deal

The sale of a freehold to a leading local, family-owned waste management company has been completed. Phil Randle, Managing Partner of our Burton Office outlines the deal.

Salloway sealed the deal for the expanding Willshee Skip Hire Limited to move to Wharf Road in Burton.

Dean Willshee, of Willshee Skip Hire Limited, said: "The new facility on Wharf Road provides us with the ability to expand and meet increasing needs. We are aiming at providing the greenest recycling service possible and continue to reduce landfill to the point where it is zero.

"We are thoroughly experienced at waste recycling in Burton. Our recycling service can be relied upon, our rates are affordable and we are able to cater for many recycling requirements with our innovative and consistent solutions.

"In view of the extraordinary growth of commerce and industry in Burton and the surrounding areas where we operate, the disposal of waste has become a major challenge for the authorities."

Salloway acted on behalf of the existing tenant, Saint-Gobain Building Distribution Limited and agreed a surrender of their lease simultaneous to the sale by the owners, a private pension fund, to Willshee Skip Hire Limited.

The Wharf Road site, adjacent to Granary Wharf Business Park, is opposite Arriva's Burton Bus Depot, and comprises some 2.6 acres. It contains a mill, workshop, stores and offices offering some 25,250 sq ft of space for the new occupiers.

The familiar bright green vehicles seen around Burton and district are the external face of this forward-looking company. Their move to Wharf Road is integral to their strategy of providing an effective and environmentally friendly waste management solution for the industrial, commercial, construction and domestic sectors.
