Local runners of all distances from sprints to marathons to benefit from the enhanced facilities at Running Form in Dallow Street, Burton on Trent.
Salloway Property Consultants have helped facilitate the relocation of Running Form from 116 Station Street to its new store on Dallow and Victoria Streets.
The specialist running gear and equipment outlet which has a large following amongst runners of all ages and abilities at local athletics clubs, and individual athletes, now has almost four times more space for its retail outlet and its unique physiotherapy studio.
Owner and keen runner, Phil Dutton, first opened Running Form as an independent store in Burton back in 2009, having successfully turned around an ailing running shop in the West Country.
Running Form have now re-developed and converted their new premises to provide a professional centre for runners. They have exploited the separate entrances at either end of the building to accommodate the retail store, and the separate physio centre, called Physio Form, and managed by Phil's wife, Laura Dutton.
"Our move marks the continued evolution of our specialist business", pointed out Phil Dutton.
"We are serving a growing and expanding running community in this area from first time-runners to club and ultra-competitive marathon runners; plus competitors taking part in increasingly popular obstacle course races, like the recent X-Runner Winter Warrior held at Donnington Park".
More than 14 years' experience in running a sports retail shop means that the Running Form team are highly-knowledgeable in product selection, service and offer professional advice to all runners.
"These larger premises, we have 30% more products on display, have also enabled us to expand our service to all runners starting with a comprehensive gait analysis of their running action", added Phil.
"Our latest equipment and HD Video cameras accurately record a runners' action and footfall, so that we can help them to choose the best footwear for their running activities. The latest shoes we stock, from brands like Asics, New Balance and Brooks, are now highly-sophisticated pieces of kit that bring big advantages to runners".
Within their new centre, Laura Dutton has expanded her vital physio, sports massage, treatment, and rehabilitation centre that forms an important integral part of the complete package of services available to all runners.
Physio Form is approved by all the major medical companies offering thorough assessments that get to the root cause of an injury/problem, followed by individual treatment and rehabilitation plans.
"Regular runners are always aware that injury and pain is one of the major hazards from over-training", she remarked; "Then those looking to set personal bests find that massage and physiotherapy can significantly contribute to helping them achieve their goals on the track, road, or cross-country".
The hub of the new centre features an 8m by 5m gym studio offering strength and condition- sessions, as well as yoga, in specially designed programmes for runners by Laura and Phil. Adjacent to the studio are the new post-operative rooms used for runners' rehabilitation that forms a vital part of 'getting them back out doing the sport that they love'.
Phil and Laura Dutton were advised by Anwar Hussain of Salloway's Burton Office. He added, "They have made a complete and remarkable transformation. The renovated shop with its double front windows and car park, offers customers' easy access and an enhanced shopping experience.
"The Physio Form centre takes Laura's sports rehabilitation to a new level; whilst the gym studio and the complementary sessions offer runners of all types significant benefits to their preparation and training".
Running Form are proud supporters of many races from the Burton and District summer league, to The Lichfield 10K, The Lichfield Half Marathon, the Uttoxeter Half Marathon, Fradley 10K, Carsington 7K, and other good local races.
