Global Yoghurt manufacturer EasiYo has chosen Derby as the home for its expanded European distribution headquarters.
The New Zealand-based organisation will shortly be taking occupation of Unit 1, Parker Centre on Mansfield Road from which it will distribute its yoghurt products across the UK and Europe.
Derby-headquartered property consultants Salloway struck the deal to land EasiYo on behalf of their private investor client.
Chris Keogh, surveyor at Salloway, who negotiated the letting, believes the deal is a 'good fit' for both parties.
"EasiYo was looking for a large distribution warehouse that offered room for further expansion and which was at the heart of the UK transport network. The property is just under 17,000 sq.ft and offers expansion space both internally and externally. It is also close to the main transport routes in the city.
Our client was looking to secure a good quality tenant for a long term and EasiYo has provided the solution".
EasiYo was founded twenty three years ago in New Zealand and is a subsidiary of Westland Milk Products Ltd, an independent co-operative dairy company. The company specialises in powdered yoghurt products and has enjoyed rapid growth across Europe from its UK headquarters. It's growth has seen EasiYo raise to be the world's number one home-made yogurt brand.
The letting of Unit 1 is the latest success for Salloway Property Consultants at the ever popular Parker Centre development. Chris Keogh is also responsible for the marketing of Salloway's latest agency instruction at the site. Unit 2 Parker Centre is a prominent industrial unit providing a Gross Internal Area of approximately 1,003 m2 / 10,797 sq.ft. "Given the commitment to Parker Centre a global company like EasiYo has made, we are expecting positive interest in Unit 2". Chris Keogh concluded.
