Strong occupier interest has resulted in Salloway securing a number of retail lettings in Ashbourne over the recent period.
Following Lloyd Pharmacy's move to the new hospital, Salloway Property Consultants has completed the letting of their former shop unit at 5 Shawcroft Centre to Treetops Hospice Charity. Stephen Salloway commented "Negotiations took a while to finalise but the premises were not on the market for long before Treetops expressed their interest"..
However, there are three other transactions in the pipeline which have taken no time at all. Mr Salloway added "the former Carpet Barn premises on Dig Street have been placed under offer without the need to bring the property formally to the market. Also, under offer is the former 'Past to Present' property on Church Street who are re-locating to a more central retail premises. In addition, the former Bookthrift premises on St John Street are also set to re-open shortly.
Excellent demand in the town centre has meant that plans are progressing forward to redevelop the Horse and Jockey Yard site next to Edinburgh Woollen Mill. Mr Salloway concluded by saying "It is important that the quality of retail stock is continually improved to allow the town centre to accommodate the expanding needs of contemporary retail occupiers."
