A new private GP practice operated by Unicare Group already attracting patients from a far afield as Leicester, Loughborough and Birmingham
Burton, Derby and Nottingham based property consultants Salloway have announced the letting of All Saints Court to an innovative private GP practice that brings a new range of medical and healthcare services to Burton.
The Unicare Group is the brainchild of Dr Vamsee Bammidi, formerly a GP Partner at Stapenhill Medical Centre; and his partner and Director, Tim Briers, who brings a wealth of professional services expertise, including 10-years in NHS practice to this new business.
Located at 76, Branston Road, the Unicare practice which opened its doors in August, having taken a 7-year lease, offers four streams of medical advice and health care – private GP appointments; medicals for HGV, PSV and taxi drivers; minor operations, soft tissue injuries; and aesthetics - Anti Wrinkle and dermal filler. The practice is delighted to now be able to announce that it will be introducing a variety of new services including tattoo removal, laser lipo / cavitation and hair removal; along with other skin enhancements.
The practice, occupying the ground floor at All Saints Court, has been extensively re-configured to provide three consulting rooms for its medical team, a tastefully refurbished reception and an administration suite – all within the 450 sq ft footprint – whilst retaining its modern style and welcoming feel. Opening the new practice has already created three additional jobs in Burton.
"Increasingly patients are looking for choice in the provision and delivery of medical services", remarked Dr Bammidi.
"We fit around those with busy lives and work schedules. It makes far more financial and business-sense to see a GP and get personalised treatment in or very near your place of work, rather than taking time off; and then making it up later. You could say that we are contributing to improving productivity".as well as offering the very best evidence based medical care
The surgery, open daily from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, (with flexibility to accept appointments until 7.30pm) to suit our clients' needs out of standard times in addition to our standard Saturday mornings, has an established target of patients in and within a 15-mile radius of Burton, as well as covering Tamworth and Derby. It is already attracting increasing numbers of HGV, PSV and taxi drivers, amongst others, who require annual or tri-annual medicals; as well as patients whose jobs necessitate occupational health checks and reports.
"Our quality of service to patients and critically our ability to provide access to doctors with minimal delays, replacing what can sometimes be up to 5-days to see a GP, means that we are becoming increasingly attractive and already drawing-in patients from further afield, including Walsall, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicester, Loughborough and Birmingham", said Unicare Director, Tim Briers.
The new medical centre, conveniently located in the town, has extensive onsite parking facilities to the front and rear. This effectively removes one potential problem and this is seen as a big bonus by patients.
"Whilst we compete directly with the likes of BUPA, AXA and Private Patients Plan", continued Tim Briers, "We are an alternative and complementary service to the NHS which remains the best free at point of delivery health provision in the world".
"We will constantly be innovating across our portfolio of services", he continued, "Our recently introduced 'Top-to-Toe' health check illustrates just how this practice will offer practical, complementary services which will be attractive to patients".
The practice's mix of patients will be the determining factor in its continued development and future expansion. Its wide flexibility in providing patients with choices, especially for their appointments, is seen as part of the one-stop-shop service.
The Unicare Group was advised by Phil Randle and Hayley Booth of Salloway's Burton Office.
Hayley Booth added, "Dr Bammidi and Tim Briers innovative practice is delivering a completely new approach to private medical practice for the people and businesses in Burton and the surrounding districts."
"They have introduced more choice into the market by bringing high-quality medical provision with a range of complementary services. Their new practice has opened up a new niche in private healthcare not previously available in the town and that is a welcome addition in East Staffordshire."
